UM SJMC is seeking a Registration Supervisor
The Registration Supervisor is responsible for the technical performance of his/her clinical areas of responsibility, management of staff performance in conjunction with the Director and ensuring adequate staffing of the department on a daily basis and on weekends/holidays.
COLLECTION/DEPOSITS: Works with staff to collect monies that are due at the time of service, reconciles money in the Emergency Department and takes the deposit to the cashier daily (Monday-Friday).
MENTORING: Provides oversight to the Department in the absence of the Director. Oversees the orientation of new staff, including completion of competency checklist, monitors progress, and completes 90 day evaluation in a timely manner for final review and approval of Director. Keeps Director informed of orientee's progress. Is solution-oriented in identifying process problems or issues that negatively impact the ability of the department to achieve departmental and organizational goals. -
REGISTRATION: Works with the Auditor/Trainer to ensure accurate collection of all registration information and provides additional education as needed. Works with the Manager of Registration to ensure adequate staffing is available to meet the needs of the Medical Center and assists with daily registration functions if staffing levels require it. Ensures that Registration personnel are following all Medical Center Policies & Procedures as well as Federal/State regulations. -
STAFF PERFORMANCE: Monitors staff performance in collaboration with Director. Completes performance appraisals and forwards to Director for review and final approval at least 2 weeks prior to deadline. Ensures that staff complies with departmental and organizational policies. Discusses non-compliance with Director in a timely manner and works collaboratively with Director to develop a Performance Improvement Plan, as necessary. -
STAFFING LEVELS: Will approve/disapprove PTO, monitor master schedule for adequate staffing levels and manage staffing according to census requirements. Will manage weekend call outs by being point of contact for staff, will ensure staffing is adequate for assigned areas, and will call back up person, as necessary.
What You Need to Be Successful:
2 - 4 years supervisory experience is Required.
