The Office of Technology Services (OTS) is committed to providing the highest quality support for communications and computing to facilitate student success, lifelong learning, teaching and the business processes of Towson University.
Responsibilities
OTS is seeking a PeopleSoft/Business Application Administrator to coordinate various system configurations and upgrades and apply patches and fixes in a large and complex PeopleSoft environment. This position also functions as an active project team member and is responsible for system monitoring and issue resolution on a regular basis. Additional responsibilities include business system integration as it relates to the Towson PeopleSoft environment which may include data warehousing systems, imaging systems and other reporting systems; PeopleSoft Tool upgrades, patches and fixes and other security and performance related upgrades; and providing input in upgrade planning activities and proposals, risk analysis reports, statistics, growth forecasting and recovery plans.
Qualifications
High school diploma and three years of related experience.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of experience working as a PeopleSoft Systems Administrator in a mid to large sized organization; two years of experience supporting and maintaining an ERP system with PeopleSoft; strong technical and project management experience; knowledge of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, Patching and Upgrade processes, Windows and Unit Service administration; and experience troubleshooting system problems in a multi-tier environment.
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
