Towson University is currently accepting applications for a Sr. Assistant Athletic Trainer to assist with medical care and comprehensive athletic training services for student-athletes in the Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Program and students in the Sports Club program under Campus Recreation Services. Under the supervision of the Director of Sports Medicine, the team physicians, and the Director of Campus Recreation Services, the Sr. Assistant Athletic Trainer will provide medical clearance, injury prevention, care of athletic injuries and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
Apply evaluative skills and techniques for orthopedic and medical programs associated with participation in intercollegiate athletics and sports clubs; formulate effective therapeutic treatment plans, implement treatments, and monitor progress; create, analyze, and maintain medical records and demographic database, including student insurance, medical history, and emergency contact information; serve as a Preceptor for athletic training students; serve as a liaison to outside athletic trainers who are covering privatized sports camps; provide confidential communication and interaction with medical professionals, coaches, and administrative staff; operate injury clinics for Sport Club athletes; and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in Sports Medicine. A Master's degree and collegiate, athletic training experience is preferred. The selected candidate must have BOC Certification and be eligible for State of MD Licensure; the ability to evaluate medical condition of student-athletes prior to, and during, their participation in intercollegiate and club sport athletics; and strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
