Examples of Duties Definition of Responsibility Under close supervision, provides routine office support, such as sorting and distributing mail, answering phones, and providing general information to customers about the Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP).
Examples of Essential Duties Receives and directs incoming calls.
Answers inquiries and provides routine information to customers.
Receives and directs customers.
May serve as receptionist for OHEP.
Performs routine filing.
Makes copies of documents for customers.
Performs data entry of a variety of information.

Checks customer case status.
Opens, date stamps, and enters mail notes into system.
Receives and issues office supplies as needed.
Qualifications Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
PLUS One year of experience working in an office environment utilizing office equipment, such as phones and computers.
One year of education in keyboarding and Office Processing may substitute for the experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of state guidelines and procedures.
Skill in written, communication and basic math skills.
Skill in operating office machinery.
