Portfolio Analyst - Signature Public Funding | Towson, Maryland

Portfolio Analyst, Signature Public Funding Towson, Maryland Signature Public Funding Corp.
targets tax-exempt private placement lease, loan and bond transactions financing municipal and other public funding entities.
We are seeking a Portfolio Analyst who will oversee and analyze the Signature Public Funding portfolio.
Primary responsibilities include:
Assist with preparing annual credit reviews, including spreading updated financial statements, analyzing and evaluating current financial and demographic trends.
Communicate with clients for updated financial information, billing and payment issues, modifications and pre-payments; notify Senior Underwriters of payment issues.
Prepare payoff and loan modification memorandums, collateral substitution requests, lien releases, and audit confirmations for management review.
Generate reports for Signature Public Funding (SPFC) and Signature Financial (SF) management, including but not limited to, quarterly reporting on portfolio metrics, performance and escrow accounts.
Prepare Third Party Lessor approval requests in accordance with SPFC/SF policy.
Maintain various databases; assist with tracking and logging bonds, insurance certificates, 8038 filings, and UCC filings/continuations.
Assist with data entry of credit transactions, escrow disbursements, modifications and exceptions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of credit related experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
Municipal finance experience preferred.
Knowledge of basic financial and accounting concepts including cash flow analysis and financial ratios.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
A ble to effectively summarize findings in written form.
Client focus; able to respond promptly to client needs and follow through to resolution.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
