The Dining Room Server is responsible to serve food and beverages to residents in a timely, courteous, efficient and accurate manner. All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of teamwork and first class customer service. The Dining Room Server greets residents, takes residents' orders, and processes those orders in a timely manner with a professional demeanor. He/She has a warm and friendly personality that puts our residents at ease and sets expectations of dining excellence. In addition, he/she must be knowledgeable in all phases of serving food to residents including therapeutic diets and must know proper sanitation and cleaning methods.
The ideal Dining Room Server has a high school diploma/GED, maintains excellent sanitary practices, has outstanding interpersonal skills, and has a genuine interest in serving the elderly and disabled.
The following is a representative list of duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Sets up dining area before meal service or special functions
-- Ensures linens are neat and clean
-- Ensures tables are set properly prior to service and for next meal
-- Greets residents and guests with hospitality and courtesy
-- Helps residents and/or guests with canes, walkers and wheelchairs entering dining area
-- Uses correct body language, good eye contact, and has a friendly yet professional demeanor
-- Presents menu properly
-- Describes entrees and drinks
-- Takes orders for meals and promptly serves them
-- Checks menu order for residents' signature
-- Follows proper service sequence
-- Removes dishes promptly after each meal course
-- Monitors resident/guest needs during the meal
-- When serving residents with special dietary needs, insures that dietary requirements are met
-- Performs side-work
-- Uses serving equipment properly. Uses proper containers when serving
-- Communicate with support staff and management
-- Practice, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures according to policy and health/sanitation regulations
-- Manage and maintain a safe working condition
-- Maintain fast, accurate service, positive resident relations, and ensure products are consistent with quality standards
-- Perform other duties as assigned
-- Follows safety procedures with equipment. Leaves equipment in proper order
-- Keeps station organized: trays cleared frequently, tables and chairs in order, meal checks orderly
-- Follows proper close up and break down procedures
-- Vacuums station completely
-- Performs special cleaning as assigned
-- Able to be courteous and tactful even under sometimes stressful situations
-- Must be able to react appropriately in an emergency such as a choking scenario
-- Record resident meal counts
-- Attends all staff meetings, trainings, in-services, etc
-- Maintains all required certifications
-- Assist in clean-up of Servery and Dining Room.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
